Why We Publish
Important history is often reduced to a footnote, repeated without question, or lost when the next newspaper arrives. We publish books that return those stories to the record and give them the space, evidence, and attention they deserve.
Independent by Design
Eleven Twenty-Two Books is intentionally small. Independence allows us to choose projects for their historical value, give difficult stories the time they require, and make decisions based on the evidence rather than the demands of a large publishing catalog.
